Without the use of the appropriate learning strategies to organize material, assimilation becomes much more difficult. Many works attest to the importance of using effective strategies in learning. This section contains a series of web pages that guide you along the study of pronunciation with some interesting suggestions.


Sin la utilización de estrategias de aprendizaje adecuadas para organizar el material se hace mucho más difícil su asimilación. Gran cantidad de trabajos atestiguan la importancia del empleo de estrategias eficaces para lograr el aprendizaje. En esta sección se incluyen una serie de páginas que sirven de guía para abordar el estudio de la pronunciación mediante unas interesantes sugerencias orientativas.

Although designed for university students and therefore a very different linguistic context, this website offers interesting tips on how to improve pronunciation. The guide is divided into the following sections:
- Pronunciation learning
- Deciding in which area(s) of speech you want to improve
- Selecting materials for pronunciation practice.
- Developing a study programme. - Recognising phonetic symbols.
- Glossary.
An interesting site for undertaking pronunciation practice on your own, for using it in the classroom and for promoting autonomous learning.


Aunque diseñado para estudiantes de esta universidad, y, por tanto de un contexto lingüístico muy diferente, incluye interesantes consejos sobre cómo mejorar la pronunciación. La guía se divide en los siguientes apartados:
-Aprendizaje de la pronunciación
-Decidir en qué area/s de la pronunciación deseamos mejorar.
-Seleccionar materiales para la práctica de la pronunciación.
-Desarrollar un programa de estudio.
-Reconocer los símbolos fonéticos.
-Glosario.
Muy interesante tanto para emprender por nosotros mismos la práctica de la pronunciación como para utilizar en el aula y potenciar la autonomía en el aprendizaje.

This web page advises you on the steps you should follow to learn and improve English pronunciation. After presenting reasons why you should study pronunciation, the focus is on how to do it, based on the following three criteria :
1. Learning to pronounce every sound correctly.
2. Understanding phonetic transcriptions.
3. Learning the pronunciation of each English word in use.
Finally, what is meant by "good English pronunciation" is discussed.


Consejos sobre los pasos a seguir para aprender y mejorar la pronunciación en inglés. En primer lugar se destaca el por qué estudiar la pronunciación, a continuación se articula cómo hacerlo en base a tres criterios:
1. Aprender a pronunciar cada sonido correctamente.
2. Comprender la transcripción fonética.
3. Aprender la pronunciación de cada palabra en inglés que se utilice.
Finalmente, se debate qué entendemos por “good english pronunciation”.
